The Haircut

I just love your watercolor work. (I'm glad you're so gifted with it!)

You nailed that expression on her face: apprehension and resolve.

Everything about her is longish and slim. But that is about to change, or so it seems. The scissors and hands are short and squattish--like the haircut she is getting.

Hair is a defining feature, and she is about to take a new identity, and she seems ready for it if not a little uneasy.

Those are the things I see in this piece.

(See? I'm an art critic!)
